What you get for $49
- An Ohio street address for the public record: 3416 Erhart Road, Litchfield, Ohio 44253.
- Acceptance of service of process, Secretary of State notices, and other official mail addressed to your business.
- A scan published to your client portal the same business day it arrives.
- Email and text alerts to as many authorized contacts as you want to name.
- A phone call when an urgent document sits unacknowledged.
- Stored originals: seven years for service of process, three years for state and tax mail, 30 days for routine mail.
- No per-document, per-page, per-contact, or forwarding handling fee. If you want an original shipped, you pay the carrier's charge and nothing more.
How the appointment gets on the record
Ohio will not treat us as your agent until the appointment and our signed acceptance are on file with the Secretary of State. You e-sign the consent in the portal first. After that there are two ways to finish, and you pick:
- You file it. The portal gives you a step-by-step walk-through of the Secretary of State's site with our exact agent details beside each field and a copy button.
- We file it. Tell us during your order and we prepare and submit the filing for you.
Either way, an existing business pays the state's $25 fee for Form 521. A brand-new business names us inside its articles and pays no separate agent fee to the state.
Who this is for
- New Ohio businesses that do not want a home address printed on a public filing.
- Owners who left Ohio and can no longer legally serve as their own agent.
- Out-of-state companies registering here that need an Ohio address on day one.
- Businesses leaving a higher-priced provider, or a friend or attorney who no longer wants the job.
- Landlords holding rentals in LLCs, who are hard to find at a job site and easy to serve at the wrong time.
- Firms tired of being the agent for their clients, through a professional account.
We serve businesses in all 88 Ohio counties from one office. Read about who we are or contact us with questions.
What the service does not include
We are an agent for receiving papers. We are not your lawyer. We do not answer a lawsuit, respond to an agency, or calculate a deadline for you, and a scan reaching your inbox does not change the date you were legally served. If you are served, read it that day and call an attorney if a response is required.
Questions
Is the price per business or per account?
Per business. An account can hold as many businesses as you like, each at $49 a year with its own subscription.
How do I pay and renew?
By card at sign-up through Stripe. The card stays on file and the service renews each year.
Will you also hold my regular business mail?
The address is for statutory agent duties and official mail. Routine mail that does arrive is scanned and its original kept for 30 days.
