Statutory agent service for attorneys, CPAs, and property managers

If your firm is the statutory agent for a stack of client entities, every summons becomes your receptionist's problem and your firm's risk. Name us instead. One account holds every entity, and each document goes to you and your client at the same time.

What serving as agent costs a firm

Being an agent looks free, but it carries duties. Your office has to stay at the listed address and be open with someone authorized to accept papers. If you move, every entity needs an update filed. If a clerk sets a summons on the wrong desk, the client's response time still runs. And when a client relationship ends, you remain on the record until someone files something, often you.

How a professional account works

  • One login, many entities. Each has its own contacts, documents, and log.
  • Scoped access. Owner, employee, and attorney roles apply per entity, so staff and outside counsel see only what they should.
  • Parallel alerts. The summons alert can go to you and your client at once.
  • Same price per entity. $49 a year each, with no minimum.
  • A record of receipt. Every document shows when it was received, published, viewed, and acknowledged.

Moving a book of entities

Add the entities in one order and pay at one checkout. Each still needs its appointment filed, on Form 521 at $25 per entity to the state, by you, your client, or us. If you are the outgoing agent, the new appointment replaces you without a resignation filing.

Agents moving large groups can also ask us about the Secretary of State's bulk forms, 526A and 526B, which carry their own state pricing and are meant for an agent changing its own name or address across many entities.

What stays with you

We do not give legal or tax advice and we do not contact your client about the content of what arrives. You keep the client relationship and the advice. We just hold the address and move the paper.

Questions

Can my client pay directly instead of my firm?

Yes. The client can hold their own account and invite you as an attorney-role contact. Or you can hold the entities on your account and bill them however you like.

Do you take property management companies with many LLCs?

Yes. Each LLC is its own business on the account, which keeps one property's lawsuit away from the others' records.
